Question / Help OBS Scenes do not merge

Hello,

I'm having some really basic issues with doing a Chroma Key. I've got my green screen setup. I've created two scenes. One with my camera, one with a static background image. I figured out how to apply a filter to my web camera with a Chroma Key. I've been able to adjust the Chroma key to make my green screen go black, but that is where the problem lies.

I never see my green screen as a transparent window as you will to the second scene. Every video I've watched it just happens instantanously. Mine is always black. I've tried re-ordering the scenes but to no avail.

Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks!

Are you sure you arrange the sources correctly? And did you apply the chroma key to the webcam source only or to the whole scene?

There is also an image load error in your log, make sure all sources can load their files.

I've been trying it a bunch of different ways.

Right now I have the web camera in one scene and a static image png in another scene. I applied the filter to the web cam scene.

I have also tried it where I have a single scene with two sources in it. One source the webcam with a filter applied to the web cam source. The other source is just a picture.

No matter what it seems no transparency is applied to the green screen or black areas. Not that this helps but I can get it to work perfectly in Xsplit.

Basic scene with game, images and webcam - without filters

upload_2017-2-26_10-2-9.png

Then right-click on webcam > filters
Add "Chroma Key"

upload_2017-2-26_10-4-8.png

Setup Chroma Key

Final Result:

Thank you,

I got this figured out. You are correct the blending happens in the sources not the scenes. The tutorial on mixed reality was ill-described.

Thanks
