Question / Help OBS says game sound working, stream cant hear

I have been streaming using OBS for a couple months now, and I had everything set up perfectly and working just fine. Ever since the new OBS update on the 27th, when i stream, there is no game sound coming through to the stream. I am using an elgato HD60 and in the scenes on obs it says the sound is working (little green bar goes up and down) but on the stream you cannot hear anything. Please help before I break something or someone.

Having this issue too.. The only "fix" i can find is setting the audio to stream through desktop.. :/

yeah i saw that too, but when you do, you hear LITERALLY everything that happens in the game twice, like 2 seconds from eachother if youre using a headset, or atleast thats what happens to me, and even then it still doesnt show up on stream

Yeah. I've researched this issue for a good chunk of the day. It's pretty sad.. XSplit does it just fine, but OBS runs better for me. :/

yeah ive only ever used OBS but this is ridiculous

EDIT: i tested the stream using Elgato's streaming software, and the gamesound works fine, so it has to be OBS

I know Jim is working on some sound issues related to video capture devices and media source. Should be a hotfix out soonish,

Out yet? Still doesn't work.

Just as a precaution, go to the audio settings where you can see which stream of audio is enabled. You go to the top settings, audio setting and a little box shows up. Make sure each audio source has every box checked.
