Question / Help OBS says "Connecting..."

I am attempting to use OBS on my mac to connect with Facebook live. I am correctly entering the server URL and stream key, however on OBS when I click "Start streaming", it continues to say "Connecting..." and on FB live it cannot obtain a preview. Please let me know if you have any ideas. I've also tried altering the stream settings to ensure compatibility with facebook.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Using El Capitan 10.11.6.
Even when just using facetime camera on my mac and internal mic with low audio bitrate it's still not working.
hope someone can clarify :).
