OBS Restart required for video capture loss

From time to time I will lose a video capture device image on a particular source, or it will just freeze (same thing). I must restart OBS to get that capture source back online. Obviously, in set-up rehearsal it is not an issue. Once I am live streaming and I lose a camera ... I run 2-3, I can not ever get the camera back on without an OBS restart, which during a live stream I cannot do. Any thoughts or ideas as to what may be wrong or a solution without a restart.

With my setup it was poor quality wifi (I changed chanel) it then became less of a problem. I tracked the less frequent blackouts to the cammera's re-starting after a software update.
It wuold be good to have a soft restart in obs to disconect and reconect video capture devices.
can be mitigated by setting to only capture when in scene. But you get a reconect delay on every scene change.
