OBS Replay Buffer won't record clips

I've just updated OBS and now replay buffer doesn't work anymore. I have it enabled. I have the directory on hand, it's not going to some unknown location. It just won't record clips. It'll record when I hit "record" manually, but it won't do replay anymore.

Edit: It's only when I use the keybind that it doesn't record, specifically.

Obvious question: Is the keybind still assigned?

Weird things can happen with updates, so it's a good idea to back up everything beforehand (even screenshots are better than nothing), and check everything after.

Update, it's now working for desktop at least, but not during games. Maybe it's only for specific applications?
If by "desktop" you mean "when OBS is in focus", then you might look at this setting:

Update: it's seems like it's only when I try to use the keybind in applications is when it doesn't work. I can clip things manually or with the keybind, but I need to exit the application and I need to use the one specific bind I have. PLUS! It makes a duplicate :)

Still sounds like you have that setting wrong, that I showed in my previous post. Don't change it yet, but take a screenshot of what yours is and post here.

PLUS! It makes a duplicate :)
What does that mean?

Ok must be a bug but no idea how to prove it.
Working on setting up the Replay buffer. Had Record set to save as an .mkv file, time for buffer set to 7 sec. It would save but durations would always be random o, 14, 4, 6, 8, etc. , but never a consistent 7 sec. Change save to .mp4, same result.

Then changed save setting to .ts , and all of a sudden it saves consistently 7 sec with an rare 8 sec.

So I figure issue is with file format or something so try going back to .mkv file.

you guessed it, all of a sudden it works as does .mp4. Consistent 7 sec saves with a rare 8 seconds (rare meaning 1 out of say 10 times but I have not tried doing hundreds of saves to see how it averages out)

Any ideas? Bug? will it come back? Guess I will close, reload, and see if it holds true (try to re create)

Hello. I just started using obs today. For some reason I can't clip anything on games when Im clicking the hotkey. When I press start reccord it lets me record, but it seems the replay buffer has a glitch where I can't clip anything. Can someone help me please?
