Question / Help OBS + Remote Play - How to get voice in?

Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me solve this. I've posted in a few places, reddit, discord and watched tons of videos but to no avail. It's okay if there's no solution but I'd like to understand the issue a little better.

Disclaimer: I'm sorry if the post is long but being specific might help get the issue across

Few days ago I tried OBS again and after some tweaking realized I could stream perfectly with it yay! Did some trial runs on frame rate and what not. Finally went to stream and realized my voice and friends voice are not being captured. Now I swear the first time I did the trial run it worked but idk maybe that was in my head because it doesn't look possible from the way I'm set up.

Relevant info:
1. I'm on PS4.
2. We are not in party chat. It is all in-game. The game is Rainbow Six Siege.
3. PC on Windows 10. Internet 100mbps download and I think 50mpbs upload.

Setup info:
1. PS4 controller wireless connection to PS4.
2. Headset w/ mic connected direct to PS4 controller.
3. Remote Play wireless not USB.
4. OBS - window capture. Mixer - desktop audio.
5. No capture card

Basically, all voice chat is in-game. OBS captures the game sounds so I was wondering why it didn't capture the voice of other people (not mine) since wherever the sound is coming from that OBS is capturing will output all the sounds which include other player's voice. That's something I'd like to understand.

The issue. I want to be able to have my mic voice come through as well as other people's voice in-game. I think I understand why my voice isn't captured. There isn't anything capturing the mic or rather outputting it into OBS? I think. I tried many things, the only method that seems to be working somewhat is connecting my PS4 controller via USB keeping the headset connected to the PS4 controller. Only then am I able to activate mic in remote play. The problem with this is, when I stream this way, there is tremendous lag. My ping seems fine but it lags badly, something off about the connection. I don't understand how just capturing voice audio can bring about such a huge difference in latency when there was no issue prior.

Is there anything I can do? I see in mixer settings there's audio monitoring. It's set to monitor off by default but I don't know what monitor and output means either. Can I reduce the latency to stream with voice? or is there a fix without having to plug in my controller to my PC?

Half a year ago I tried OBS, had all the overlays done and everything. Went to stream and it immediately crashed, frame rate lag was basically pixels and would disconnect my remote play. Then I tried again few days ago and it turns out, I just had my settings wrong! what an idiot. Just a small change and it streams so smoothly with all the pretty overlays. So I believe there's something I'm missing here that's an easy fix but I just don't know what.

Hopefully you guys can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Sorry again about the long post but best to provide all the info at the get go.

Thank you.
