I normally have my system volume set to 32 out of 100. When I record with OBS, the resulting video has my desktop audio very much quieter than it should be.. in fact, it is 32% of the volume it should be...hmm...
So, I turned my system volume up to 100% and removed my headphones to not kill my ears. I recorded with OBS. I turned my system volume back to 32 and listened to the video: it was at the correct full volume!
So, for whatever reason, OBS is recording using my system volume instead of just recording at full volume like the original OBS did. This makes the resulting video quieter than it should be. Not only is this immensely inconvenient, it's also completely unintuitive - why even provide volume controls in the interface if they are completely useless? There isn't a way to disable this behavior and restore the old behavior AFAIK.
Is there anything I can do to avoid this inconvenient work around? Setting my system volume to 100 is doable, but really annoying - some people have to use headphones with no built in volume control.
