Question / Help OBS recordings won't open in any software except VLC

So I've been reading and researching a lot to try and fix this problem but I can't find anything. I can record videos just fine and open them with VLC and they look great.

However, opening them with anything else either results in a crash of the software or the video just being black. Opening in Premiere Pro crashes it, opening with Window Media Player and Windows Movie Maker opens a black screen. It's clear that it's something with the output of OBS but I can't figure out what.

I'm saving as .mp4, encoding with NVENC H.264, Rate control CQP with quality 16.

Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated!!

Don't save directly to mp4.

Yes yes, I know that it's not good to save as mp4 but the problem persists no matter which file format I use.

Set Color Format back to NV12. I think, it could help.

Because colors were mentioned, OBS Studio: Color Space, Color Format, Color Range settings Guide. Test charts.

Set Color Format back to NV12. I think, it could help.

I have the same problem as Jeremy but my Color Format is already on NV12.

what sould I do?
