Question / Help OBS recordings turned randomly laggy / choppy after update

So

Been using OBS for over a year. For a while the Program asked me to update version but i didnt want to since it was working just fine and i was very happy with it compared to other recorders. Finally i did update after months (i think) and Voilà, fucked it up.

The program always ran smoth as hell until i updated the version. Now it randomly records laggy videos. By randomly i mean, sometimes it does sometimes it doesnt. The game runs super smooth as usual tho, nothing changed on that end @ 112 stable fps.

Its funny because i open OBS and go to the game, then i start recording rounds with start/stop button. Sometimes i go check the rounds and they are either all ok or all laggy (like they were 15fps instead of 25, and some lag spikes appear, horrible to watch).

When i minimize the game and go check recordings the lagg either disapears or apears lol, when i go back to the game the rest set of rounds might or might not be laggy, itll be a suprise, like everytime i minimize the game and go back to it i was flipping a coin to whether next set of game round recodrings will be laggy or not.

What i have realized is that on OBS settings options, under Advanced there is now an option called process priority that wasnt on my previous version, but whether i set it high or not doesnt change shit. It is clear that the problem is a performance issue tho.

Why i say that? because before i updated normally the program was activating my laptop fans after 5-10 minutes of recording no matter what, now i can be hours recording and fans wont start blowing like they used to. So clearly theres something related to how much priority the program is given. Im no expert, but it feels like its performance was using the resource leftovers or something and sometimes its laggy sometimes its not but NOTHING else on the computer is laggy, the game never has fps drops and the quality of the videos is the same as it used to, basically cuz OBS is using the same exact settings. All the processes while playing + recording are using together 30-35% on my resouce monitor.

Idk if some1 can help me figure this out, but anyway my real question here is:

CAN I DOWNLOAD PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF OBS STUDIO ? CAN I FIND IT SOMEWHERE? I'D LIKE TO TRY TO GET THE PROGRAM JUST LIKE I USED TO BEFORE I MOVE ONTO ANOTHER ONE. Couldnt find a link anywere

thank you.

I reinstaled the previous version i had but its not solved.

I have realized the FPS was changed at some point to 25 instead of the 30 to relief cpu usage a little on my laptop, but i didnt remember. Definitely didnt suspect this had anything to do at all.

But if i try 30fps again then the lag is gone.

does that make any sense at all?

25fps = randomly laggy
30fps = smooth as it used to

how can it be? my game runs at a steady 111-112 fps. My monitor is 60 Hz
maybe it is cuz 30fps is an integer multiplier of 60? Im just saying this randomly

shouldnt 25fps be less resource intensive than 30fps? it definitely gives me less cpu usage which is GOOD and leaves my computer fans quiet. I would like to record at 25fps because it also gives a nice effect of the mouse seeming to travel faster around the screen and hence catching less eye attention, but omg why is it laggy unlike 30fps?

so frustrated atm. tried all, nothing changes. Any ideas?

Limit game frame rate to 30 fps (or to display refresh rate by enabling v-sync) and capture it at 30 fps. How you want to make 30 or 25 fps video from 111 fps source?
