Question / Help OBS recordings jerky?

Hello, I've been having problems with trying to record with obs, the videos are jerky and not HD when I set it to 1080p.
It's probably my laptop but all I want is that the recordings are in HD and have smooth recordings.

Oh yeah btw I haven't been able to get it to record smoothly at lower quality settings

Your CPU is nowhere near capable of doing 1080p recordings/streaming.

You also have an AMD GPU+Intel laptop, which presents it's own world of performance issues. http://obsproject.com/forum/threads/laptop-black-screen-when-capturing-read-here-first.5965/

You could try using QSV/QuickSync, that might let you do 1080p recordings. Make sure to use the recording quality presets under Settings > Output in Simple output mode. In the recording section, change the Recording Quality to Indistinguishable Quality, and then set your encoder to QuickSync.
