Question / Help OBS Recordings Choppy - ingame absolutely fine, other methods of recording fine

Hello,

as stated in the title, it seems I am having problems with OBS being able to record, or stream.
For now, my main concern is recording, I only very occasionally stream.

While in game, the game works perfectly fine, even with everything set on max.
I then check the recording, and see that it is extremely choppy.
I tried to also use the GeForce Experience recorder, and both the gameplay and recording were super smooth, so I believe the problem must be in my OBS settings. I would love to continue using OBS for the things I do, but I need help to make sure everything is smooth.

I am uploading the log file as required below. (had to click "Upload current log" as the "Last Log" turned out empty - nothing but hastebin.com)

Any and all help regarding this is definitely appreciated.

I think your logfile link expired. OBS can upload logs directly here.

OBS and GeForce Experience work differently. OBS requires resources that ShadowPlay and other recorders do not.
 
Okay, I feel a bit foolish now.
But I did want to put this thread to rest.

I didn't realize how old my OBS version was. I downloaded and installed the very latest one, and it seems to be working well again.
