Question / Help OBS recording with powerpoint videos

Hi all,

I'm new here. My name is Sander and for our company we make a lot of video trainings. Since a couple of weeks we have some problems with the recording of our screen capture.

First we make a powerpoint presentation with text and videos. When this is ready we start OBS and record the PowerPoint with our voice over. Videos and all plays very well, but when we look back at the recording video, then almost all the videos has a lot of lag. We cannot use them.

When we try to play the video in, for example, VLC-player and then record it, the same video works excellent without any problems. Does any one has any idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks!

Sander

Just to decode what you said here.

The videos inserted/played in PowerPoint that you are doing VO for, when recorded via, Window? or Display Capture? Appear to stutter/lag when you watch the video you captured.

If you watch those same source videos in VLC they playback fine, and if you capture VLC playing them they are fine, it is only when the video is played via PowerPoint that they stutter in the recording.

I recorded via Window Capture. I have made 2 log files now:

Log file 1: In this session I used Window Capture and record PowerPoint. The videos in this session are insert the powerpoint presentation (and not only linked)

Log file 2: This is almost the same session, Window Capture and same PP presentation. But now I have not insert the videos in PP but only linked them, so they're playing in PP but are linked.

Are you sure that you post right log-files (look at the timestamps)? There is no Recordings started and finished in any of it.

The "Last Log" option does the previous launch of OBS.
Logs aren't per "Start recording/Start streaming", they're per launch of OBS.

The 6200U supports QuickSync, I think the latest drivers have been crashing peoples OBS though? There has been some issue QuickSync, may have been fixed by Intel.
