Recording is very laggy and choppy, and occasionally the quality drops.

Specs:

i7 9700k
16GB ddr4 ram
GTX 1060 3gb
1TB SSD
1TB HDD

It is still the same, It feels like its going @30 FPS and also feels like the quality is @720P. If you need a video, i will provide one.

Presuming you've fixed that problem, put another log into the analyzer, and see what it comes up with this time.

Now set your monitor @ 60HZ.
20:23:10.145: name=C24F390
20:23:10.145: pos={0, 0}
20:23:10.145: size={1920, 1080}
20:23:10.145: attached=true
20:23:10.145: refresh=71

If you encounter encoding lag, use a lower Preset like p4.

Use VLC to check your recordings, if you're not doing so already.

Log is basically clean, just a few things you can do, Disable Game DVR & try running OBS as ADMIN.

Also try writing to a different drive, using C drive now.

It actually turns out that Media Player is whats causing the FPS drop. Its not OBS, its the Media Player app. How do I make VLC my default player?
