OBS recording to SSD with OS on an HDD ~VS~ OS on SSD rendering to same SSD (recording only, HD prefer 60fps)

I am low-budget this month and can afford *one* 250 gig SSD to add to the four 2 TB HDDs in my MacPro (high sierra, 6-core 3.33 xeon, 32gig ram).
[This is for professional purposes requiring 1920x1080 and 60 fps.]

Will OBS give me better high quality recording performance (of zooms I host)
recording to and SSD with the OSX operating system on an HDD ~OR~ the OS on the SSD rendering to same SSD?

Thank you for any help!

This is a temporary setup for testing and demo. Video will be stored or erased when not using. My concern is the performance warnings given about OBS that an SSD is essential for high performance recording. Obviously, the operating system will be faster on the SSD.

Depends on the codec and bitrate, but I routinely record video to old 4TB spinning drives.

re the operating system and SSDs, that's more about boot-up and program load than anything else. Once things are running, the demand on the OS drive is negligible.

I will be recording(not streaming) at 1920x1080, 60fps while hosting zoom. If I don't need an SSD for that, then what?

High bitrates and low compression codecs require faster drives. So does ISO, where you're recording multiple cameras individually. It's a simple question of how much data you're pushing.

Run Blackmagic's Disk Speed Test, free on the Apple App Store, and it will tell you exactly what you can and can't do on each drive in your specific system. 2017 iMac with a 500 GB SSD and a 4TB 7200rpm spinner, it says the spinner can record 4k30 in ProRes 422 HQ, which is a fairly large file. The SSD can do 4k60 in RAW or 10 bit, which are enormous files. The help file is very informative.
