OBS Recording Output Consistency

Hello,

I am having a very strange issue with my OBS recordings.

I have been capturing a series of screen captures with OBS… all with the exact same video output settings, nothing fancy… just regular runofthemill .mp4 files.

The issue isn't with OBS recordings in general.. I capture the screen and the files are created and playback normal in VLC etc.. but.. when I try to import these files into Steinberg's Nuendo (so I can do Sound Design work), some of the files will import fine.. whilst others (about 80%) will not. Nuendo simply doesn't recognize the files. This is despite all the files having the exact same encoding settings out of OBS... for some reason Nuendo is sensitive to some minute difference between the files (despite OBS's output settings being identical for each recording) ~ I just don't understand what could possibly be different between the files I'm recording with OBS.. but it seems there must be some inconsistency, as Nuendo will accept some and not others.

Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem?

Nice DAW! I use Vegas Pro & Sound Forge Pro & never had any issues with importing OBS recordings to either but others do.

Post a log with a recording session. Directions are pinned at the top of the forum.

Since you're editing, would you have any interest going with a custom output with PCM audio instead of AAC?
