obs recording blurry

I'm trying to record my game, but the recording quality is worse than expected.

If it helps, my monitor is 165Hz and 27".

Try increasing the bitrate in the encoder settings. Otherwise, try another version of OBS Studio to see if it happens again.

Are you using YouTube's Auto quality setting? It chose 360p for me just now. Forcing 1080p made it much better.

This is exactly what you need to do. I have an excellent website for this at Video Bitrate Calculator to calculate exacly what bitrate you need. At the very bottom of the site, change the resolution and framerate, then click H.264 High, or H.264 Baseline if your mac can handle it. It will show your bitrate in the "Video Bitrate" at the top.
