OBS recording at low FPS without a game or any GPU problems

I am sorry if I'm missing something obvious, I've been looking for a solution for a few days and cannot understand why my OBS records at such a low fps.


The source is Display Capture with no interfering sources part of the same scene. I have not tried OBS on streaming but my main concern is with recording only. Making a new profile has not worked. Reinstalling has not worked. Running as administrator has not worked. Factory resetting all settings has not worked. There is literally nothing else open whilst I record and it still has trouble. My OBS recording is set to 60fps, it even says that in the bottom right of the program.

Again, sorry if I am missing an obvious fault, I don't know much about software in general, just want a fix to this. Thanks.

In the log file you can see that you're streaming and recording. If you want to focus on recording, do not start the stream.
Look in the recording section in the output settings and make sure the recording quality is set to something else than Same as stream, like High quality or Indistinguishable.

It's advice to use game or window capture to record games.

Also, you want to disable HAGS:
