OBS really laggy

Well when I record a video for gameplay its laggy and I need a fix please I run on Intel I3-8145u and 8gb of ram maybe not the best and quite archaic but I want to record atleast by 720p and my settings could be messed up and I need help can someone tell me the best settings for my computer?

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

Can I still handle low intensive games with OBS?
