Hello OBS community,

Until recently I've been using OBS to stream my iPad to Twitch. Not sure what has changed, but now when I start a steam the Frame Drop rate shoots through the roof. I also experience my windows flashing in and out when it happens and I'm not sure why. Will include my three most recent log files... Please help!

Problem is network related. Half the frames attempted are being dropped due to insufficient bandwidth.

20:52:02.052: Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 1 (0.1%)
20:52:02.052: Output 'adv_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 470 (49.4%)

I'm guessing this can't be solved by lowering the bandwidth? I cut it down to 1600 and am still encountering issues. Maybe the problem is directly related to the network

I'd guess what you're experiencing is packet loss-- it won't matter how low a bitrate you try, if packets are lost in transit on a regular basis, the connection will be poor.

Are you streaming on a wired or wireless connection?

Also, your copy of OBS is extremely old-- 0.16.2. The latest is 20.1. If you're on Sierra or High Sierra, you should be using one of the latest two versions (20.1 or 20.0.1-- the former has an issue with twitch alert sounds that did not exist in the latter).
