OBS Randomly starting using all my GPU when I have a game open.

I have been using the same OBS settings for a couple of years and never had any problems, today when I opened OBS and a game my GPU usage maxed out and started lagging my pc which has never happened before. I tried different games and various online fixes and even reset to default settings and nothings fixed it, I have no idea why this started but its very frustrating, any help would be apricated thx.
