Question / Help "OBS quit unexpectedly"

Never used OBS before and just wanted to familiarize myself with it now cause I'll be using it in the future to record videos for my company. I downloaded it on my Macbook Air and everytime I try to open it I get the message "OBS quit unexpectedly" even when I try to re-open the program. I restarted and even re-installed OBS a couple times and no luck. I've read a couple posts about deleting some file(s) has worked for a couple people but I'm not too familiar with going into and trying to find these files and I don't really know what files I honestly should look for or which ones could be the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

~/Library/Application Support/obs-studio

What version of OBS and MacOS are you using? The Air in particular is not well suited to use with OBS.

I hadn't realized I was using a version of OS that didnt work with OBS. I updated and it works fine now. Only problem I have now is (still figuring out settings) but when I use Window Capture it tends to have little black flashes on the screen and that doesn't happen with Display Capture
