Obs question

Hi
I been using obs enough to know you can capture your gameplay's and do commentary and such, but I do non commentary content. and was wondering If I have non-commentary gameplay's already done, but my question is this:

can I go back later and add the video file and do a voice over on top of the non-commentary gameplay later using obs?
Is it possible? I don't even think youtube studio has that for already uploaded draft state videos in my youtube studio, so I need to find another option at my disposal, without having to pay monthly subscription to some software.

I'm asking this question because I never did find out if you can add a gameplay with no commentary and try to add voice over yet. was wondering from others that use obs can tell me if it can be done this way?

Not in OBS, or at least isn't recommended for good quality content, but you can use post production editors to do this:

Post Production Tools | OBS

OBS Knowledge Base. Useful tools that you can use after recording

OpenShot is a good video editor that may be the solution for your needs. But it don't record audio, so you need to record the commentary using other program, like Audacity, and then import the audio file into OpenShot.
More advanced you have DaVinci Resolve.

well, its like davinci or audacity except online browser based and you add voicovers to your videos.. more simpler than danvinci resolve. the best deal 29 bucks a month.

I just don't want to jump through 2 programs to add voiceovers to a non-commentary gameplay. I just want to get it done on 1 app or site and move on.

since, youtube's policy's are getting insane, back in the day you could do non-commentary gaming be approved, but nowadays it's got alot of youtuber's worried.
