Question / Help OBS Preview/Recording screen is fine...then lags in in video file

Hi, I been wanting to record h1z1 using obs studio and for some reason the final video file starts to lag alot as the video goes on. The preview window before and during the recording is fine and also when i stream its great too and never lags. Really looking forward to record, so any help would be great:)

if I had to guess... either your HDD or your CPU can't keep up with your settings.

To test if it's your CPU, try setting the CRF to something higher like 20. If that fixes it, then it's your CPU.

If it gets worse, then it's most likely your HDD not being able to keep up.

If it stays the same, then it might be something to do with your GPU.

well i have a i7 6700k so the cpu shouldnt be the issue....and if it is the hdd any tips?
