Question / Help OBS Preview Freezes, audio levels continue to show

Hey guys, I'm trying to record Bioshock Remastered. I'm running into a problem where my preview will freeze and then I can't stop recording. Because I can't stop recording the files become corrupted.

I'm just recording locally, not streaming.

Recording locally and streaming certain games has been causing me this issue for a while now. It's extremely annoying. I couldn't stream Forza for more than a few minutes before OBS would freeze up and shut down my stream. Now Gears of War 4 is causing me the same issue. I really hope some sort of fix comes out from Microsoft or OBS. However I don't think this issue is on OBS' side.
