Hi,
I wish to stream GTA 5 on Twitch. I have finally finished adding everything I want into the sources, and I am ready to start streaming. However, despite me getting very high FPS in game, OBS can only muster ~18 to ~23 FPS, as the FPS indicator on the bottom right reads. I would think that even that would be smooth, however it is not. The stream is pretty choppy in the preview, it looks like it's lagging. And, of course, when I do a test stream, the choppiness carries on to the stream. I have tried literally all recommended stuff to no avail and I am pretty frustrated, so if anybody could help, it would be appreciated!
(Specs and log file for one of my test streams included below. I run OBS on my second monitor to see the preview whilst I am streaming, btw.)
Specs:
Processor: Intel i7-4790 @ 3.60 GHz
RAM: 16.0 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745
OBS Settings:
(GTA 5 run in Game Capture Mode)
Stream:
-Seattle Server, less than 180 KM from me, closest choice
Output (Advanced):
-Encoder x264
-Rescale Output 1280x720
-Rate Control CBR
-Bitrate 1800 (I've tried many values for it)
-Custom Buffer Size: 0 (I've messed aorund with this value aswell, 0 gives me SLIGHTLY better frames)
-Keyframe Interval 0
-CPU Usage Preset Very Fast
-Profile None
-TUne None
-VFR Off
Video:
-Base Resolution 1920x1080
-Output Resolution: 1280x720
-Downscale Filer: Bilinear
-FPS 30
Advanced:
-Process Priority: High
-Renderer: Direct3D 11
-Stream Delay Disabled
Upload Speed: 15 MB/S
Logs: https://pastebin.com/AZp6dQs1
Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!
P.S My friend, who has a a slightly worse set up than me, can stream the game at 720p 60 FPS with out a single issue, and the stream is super crisp, so I assume it must be a settings issue?
