Hi,

When recording a screencast in OBS, there are random popping and crackling sounds on the audio. I have tried several suggestions and watched countless videos.

I have a
-Windows 10 PC, Nvidia 1660 Super, 24 core, 64GB RAM
-UAD Apollo 6X, running UAD Console
-Cubase 12

-The sample rate in Windows 10, Cubase 12 and UAD Console and OBS is set to 48K 24-bit.
-OBS is receiving a single stereo audio signal from UAD Console via a stereo virtual channel.
-I am recording at 1080P and using the encoder on the Nvidia graphics card
-When using this same equipment to monitor and record audio in Cubase I don't have any popping or crackling sounds

Does anyone with a similar setup have suggestions on what to do?

Thanks,

Hello, I recommend using Asio Link Pro.

Slavchko - thank you so much!

My audio interface seemed to be the source of static noise I was getting in recordings. Over the last couple of days I tried all suggestions I could find on forums such as changing sampling rates, adjusting settings in the windows mixer and OBS - and ASIO Link Pro resolves the issue.

I no longer have crackling noise coming through OBS when recording
