Question / Help OBS Picks up no sound at all!

OBS picks up no sound at all. It doesn't pick up the mic, or the desktop audio. The bars don't do anything... I have fiddled around with audio settings a bunch of times but it still doesn't work. I'm using macOS 1.14 beta right now, could that be an issue? In the settings, it says that OBS has never requested to use the mic....

I have this problem too. I inhaled the MAC OSX MOJAVE 10.14 and the OBS stopped listening generally.

I installed other applications similar to OBS and they worked normally, which shows a problem in OBS with MAC OSX 10.14

What other apps did you install? I just need a livestream encoder.

You did not understand me. I'll try to explain better

I have always used OBS (transmitting at least once a week in the last 3 months)

When I installed MAC OSX 10.14 MOJAVE this week the OBS stopped recognizing the audio inputs. I thought it was a DRIVE or MAC OSX problem ... To make sure that the problem was not from MAC I installed the mimoLive (trial) application similar to OBS and there in mimoLive everything worked as expected.

I prefer OBS for being accustomed and mimoLive is trial ...

For some reason still unknown, the OBS does not recognize the audio inputs on MAC OSX MOJAVE 10.14.


I am willing to try to heal this problem.

Since Mojave isn't even out yet I don't think OBS is aware of those permissions. I have read that opening OBS from the command line causes it to ask for permissions, but as I am still running Sierra I have not seen this myself.

According to Apple's comments and documentation, any application that uses the microphone or camera should ask for permission on Mojave once the app tries to access either the microphone or the camera. We're not really sure why Mojave seems to not be doing this reliably for OBS, but we are aware of the upcoming permissions requirements for Mojave.
