Question / Help OBS Only Records A Picture and Audio But Not Gameplay

So I installed the recorder because I wanted to do a gameplay series for my YouTube channel, but when I finally figured out how to view the video, I found out it recorded all my audio and none of the gameplay itself, just one freaking picture! Can anyone please help me? I really really need to be able to record everything!

You don't have things setup correctly and/or you don't have the proper hardware. You need to provide us with more information.
