Question / Help OBS only picks up in game audio if going through speakers

When I try and record with OBS, the sound for the game doesn't come through unless set my default audio device as my speakers. I don't like using them because they aren't that good and I would rather use my headset. When I do use my headset as the default audio device, I can here the game but it doesn't get picked up in the recording.

I did, no sound goes through if everything is the same. Sound only records and picks up if going through the speakers
