Question / Help OBS Occasionally freezes PC

I've been recording while gaming for a few days now and have a stubborn issue. This does not usually happen; often it happens after I've recorded a minute or more footage and usually if there is an intense scene going on in the game I'm recording.

My entire PC will freeze. No bluescreen, no error. Just the last frame rendered stuck. Can't do anything but restart.

Unfortunately, OBS does not generate a crash report when this happens because I have to manually restart my PC.

So, is this a problem with a lack of CPU or RAM resources or something else? I often reach high levels of CPU usage (70%+) when recording but am unsure if this is what's causing the freezes; if the CPU is maxed out I figure the PC would error out of some applications instead of freezing.

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
RAM: 16GB
GPU: Vega 64
MB: Asrock B450m Pro4

Complete freezing usually indicates a hardware or driver issue. Turn off any overclocking and check your temperatures.

Temperatures are fine; however I am overclocking. Anyway to resolve overclocking issues? Overclocking gives me better performance, so if I could I'd try to keep the overclock
