Question / Help OBS not working

You know for a small amount of time I had used bandicam because despite its obnoxious watermark, hey it worked, and then I had this program shoved down my throat repeatedly and I thought, 'Hey if it's free, AND it's good, then why not use it?' Though for some reason whenever I use OBS, it will quite randomly drop frames in recording, it will just hold on a frame for what I can only assume is no reason, because the system isn't being overloaded, and because it didn't happen in what I was recording. And don't even get me started on YouTube, where it will basically play half a second, hold for 4 seconds, and skip ahead 2 minutes, again, the system isn't being taxed, the game sure as hell isn't lagging up, and YouTube's reassuring me that my connection is fine, what do I do? Unless it's a problem with YouTube and YouTube alone, I can only assume OBS is free for a VERY good reason. And don't give me that OBS elitism I've been getting an earful of for the past half a year, just give me answers.

OBS is free because the author wants to distrubute it as an open source and free application. It being free has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the software.

Please provide a log so we can see what's going on.
