Question / Help OBS Not Streaming

Correlation does NOT equal causation.

Twitchtest is neither a background process, nor does it run at a level where it is even capable of being the cause of your problem.

Good help is getting the CORRECT answer to your issue, not the answer you want to hear.

Whoa everyone, let's calm down here.

OP: When you say you can't stream anymore, what do you mean by that? What happens when you try to stream? Do you get an error message?

A log would help a lot. If you can't post it as an attachment, then post it to http://pastebin.com and then link to it here.

I can assure you that TwitchTest did not "cause" you to not be able to stream, though. It is, indeed, a reputable program, created by R1CH, one of the OBS developers. If you're worried about entering your stream key, you can feel free to reset it. However, just because a program needs your stream key doesn't mean it's an untrustworthy program. OBS needs your stream key as well, after all.

So since TwitchTest did not cause the problem, let's find out what did. I hope can do that without assuming the worst about each other.

When I tried to stream it said it was streaming but on the right there were no kb/s. Ialso didnt get my twitch dashboard notification on my phone and my fiance also couldn't see I was on. My internet was working fine. I watched netflix after I realized I couldn't use OBS.

I don't know what the issue was. Thanks for replying and I wasn't trying to bash on the program but it just seemed to fit. I have a completely new setup (pc, capture card, cam, mic etc) The stream was fine until I downloaded said program. so I immediately thought it was that. I have been told by several people that its a legit program and I will try it again.

Many of the members here were very friendly and helpful but Harold seriously needs to get off my thread OR delete it if you want. This was my first post. Aside from the other members being helpful I won't be using this again if you have like Harold responding. Thanks for your time and good day.

http://i.imgur.com/goSrsOe.png here are my options according to Twitch Test, Poland is my best option? I live in a small town so I have the highest available upload I can afford. 3 mb I did the longest test option (5 minutes each) my bitrate is set to 1400. I'm consistently dropping frames at about 4.5-5.5% depends on the day. I was connected to San Francisco (closest to me)

All the servers with a quality of 0 are going to give you a very bad time. Internet routing can sometimes be a strange beast. If you get better results streaming to Poland, who cares if it's "weird" as long as it actually works?

You don't need to delete the thread. The thread can stay for other people to learn from in the future.
