OBS not responding

Anyone able to give me any help as to why OBS becomes non responsive constantly?

Win11
3070ti
I7 12700k
32GB DDR4 3600 mhz Ram
System and OBS running from a 1TB Nvme

PC is fresh. Nothing installed other than essential drivers, discord, nvidia control panel, VLC, steam ( a few games) and OBS.

OBS is latest version installed from here. No plugins or scripts added.

I was trying to stream harry potter a while back but every 30 mins or so OBS became unresponsive and the stream crashed so I just gave up. Been trying to stream again recently but OBS just becomes non responsive after some time bit rate goes to 0 and the stream disconnects. OBS becomes unresponsive and needs to be forced to close (I've waited 5-10 mins and it never became responsive again) Doesn't provide me with crash reports as I guess it doesn't recognize it as a crash.

Anyone know a fix for this or should I just look for alternative software?

Make sure all your drivers are updated, not only the GPU driver, but the motherboard and probably the BIOS too.
OBS do provide you with a log file, which is requaried and explained in one of the pinned posts you do saw in here.

By any chance do you have the latest October Windows update installed? I stream a church service every Sunday. Dedicated laptop only used for this. Setup has been working great for months. Today OBS hangs after streaming for about 10 minutes. I uninstalled KB5030651 which was installed on October 10th and was able to stream about 40 minutes without it hanging up on me.
