I'm writing a tutorial and recording it with OBS, and I find that OBS is not recording a lot of things, such as the drop-down menus in the package I'm talking about, which are invoked with a right-click of the mouse. All of these things are successfully captured by the Windows key function PrtScr, as I see if I paste them into Paint.
I keep my Start Bar down the left side of the page, and I have noticed that while OBS records the Start bar with all its buttons, the one button that it will not record is the Start button. I currently have three Windows Explorers open, shown by a triplicate button on the start bar, which gets recorded, and if I hover the mouse on the Explorer button, I see a panel pop out to the right showing the three individual Explorers - but that panel does not get recorded. I think the Start Button is likely to be an aspect of the other things it's not recording, so if I can fix the Start button, it will most likely fix everything else.
There are some attached pictures.
"No Start Button.jpg" shows my Start bar with the Start button, but in the OBS frame, the button is not visible.
"No Panel.jpg" shows the panel on my screen, but not in the OBS capture.
My Settings are shown in the other attached pictures.
