Question / Help OBS not recording mic

I have OBS setup to record my game audio on channel 1 and mic on channel 2. Both of the green bars move across the bottom under the mixer, but OBS only records the game audio. If I go to Settings>Advanced and change the audio monitoring device from default to my headset, OBS will record my voice but it stops recording the game audio. I have my headset set for both output and input. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nothing. Microphone track is silent.

Nvm. Change the audio monitoring device back to default and tried again in VLC. It works. Sorry, I'm new to this.
