OBS not recognizing one of my games

OBS was able to capture one game I played, but not another. I had it working once, but I cannot recreate it again. What could be happening that is letting OBS easily capture the screen for one game and not the other?

Having difficulty with the game C&C Kane's Wrath. Was working with my Shogun 2 game. Method is game capture via hotkeys, but I tried all and nothing is working.

It used to work with my old laptop. I would run obs as admin, toggle cheat on and off, press record, and then enter the game, the hotkeys would work. The laptop I have now is newer and a lot more powerful
