This has probably been asked before. I tried searching but probably did not use good search criteria
I use OBS with a Canon camera using Elgato Camlink. No problem getting it setup & working. The problem is when I exit OBS & come back later, it does not get video from the camera most of the time. If it does get video, it freezes after a couple minutes. If I click on the camlink & go into properties, I see it listed twice & one is greyed out. If I change device to the laptop webcam, save & exit; then go right back in the camlink only shows once under device & it is active. I select it & save & it works like it should. Any ideas why I have to do this each time I restart OBS? I have the same issue on 2 different laptops both running Win10.
