OBS not picking up microphone

Good Afternoon, I'm trying to record gameplay and have been successful when it's just gameplay footage I am attempting to record, however when I attempt to include my voice over the gameplay, OBS is not picking up my microphone. I have turned off exclusivity and fiddled with the audio settings but while the program is picking up that my microphone works, it is not fluctuating or capturing my voice on recordings.
