Ive installed epocam and getting a feed onto mac desktop ok

Im trying to add the feed as a video capture device but its only giving me a default facetime camera as an option

If Epocam does not provide a standard video device driver, OBS will not be able to see it. Your only option will be to capture the window or display showing the preview image from their app.

I have the same issue. Capturing the epocam server window creates a lag in OBS which gets the audio out of sync. Specially notorious for a talkshow which is what I do. Could somebody expand the "capture with syphon" option please?

Syphon Inject is an application for capturing frames from an OpenGL program on MacOS. It is roughly the equivalent of "Game Capture" on the Windows side for OBS.

In OBS, you add a source as "Game Capture (Syphon)" and when you look at that source's properties, you can launch Syphon Inject, choose a running process to inject, and then choose that application in the list of applications under Source.

This ONLY works on OpenGL applications, and generally only on those that render in a single window, rather than in multiple windows. Even then, sometimes it just doesn't work.

However, when it does work, it is more performant than Window capture.

Also, this only captures video-- not audio.
