OBS not installing

I downloaded the files and clicked on the executable files but it didnt bring up any prompt or window but showed that something was running which is related to OBS. I basically just cant install it. The only log file i have is the /windows/logs/CBS file and absolutely nothing else(Its apparently too huge so i cant upload it). Plz help coz i understand absolutely nothing.

Make sure you downloaded from https://obsproject.com/download - there are lots of fake OBS sites on Google that distribute malware.

yeah seems that was the problem. strangely enough i always choose the top result because its quite reliable. Thank ya very much fam.

FYI the malware version typically installs RedLine Stealer, so you may want to wipe and re-install your system and change all your passwords. Detection rates by anti-virus software are quite poor.
