OBS not fully shutting down

I just started using OBS studio. My operating system is Linux Mint. After I close the OBS Studio program and go to shutdown my computer, I get an error that OBS is still running. I check the processes and find that the OBS process remains running. I can force shutdown, but it is inconvenient. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Found the problem that you MUST use the exit button on the bottom right hand of the screen to properly shut down the program. Any other method seems to leave some elements running
