Question / Help OBS not detecting second screen

Hello,

I have a HDMI cable connected to my monitor from my PC which OBS detects fine. I have a HDMI connected to my PS2 which is connected to my monitor. My monitor picks up the HDMI from the PS2 fine, but OBS can't detect the display, only my PC (see attached image - this is the only display it sees).

Is there any way to fix this? In Display settings, my PC does not detect another display (see attached image), but I can switch to it by changing my monitor to the HDMI2 output.

A monitor is not a capture card, you can't output a PS2 to a monitor with switchable inputs and expect it to somehow show up on one of the other inputs.

Thanks for the reply. If I connect the output from the PS2 to the PC, will OBS be able to detect it? I'm asking instead of testing because as far as I'm aware I'll have to buy a HDMI to USB connector if this is possible

You will need a Capture Card, which is something else entirely.
Those 'USB to HDMI' adapters are for adding another display to your system, and will not work. They are for putting video out, a capture card is for taking video in. HDMI is not bi-directional.

Fair enough, thanks for the info
