Bug Report OBS not deinterlacing Magewell Pro Capture HDMI

Using the deinterlacing options in OBS on my Magewell Pro Capture HDMI ( A V4l2 device) does nothing when capturing non-deinterlaced footage from my Wii. Using deinterlacing in Mplayer with the card works fine.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.10 with Nvida proprietary graphics, in case graphics drivers are affecting this.
My OBS is the version compiled from git on March 8th

Figured out how to get it to work by checking if it worked in windows, in both Operating systems it seems you need to set the proper input resolution (For this console it is input as 640x480), then deinterlacing works fine.

Interestingly, in windows, it seemed the color format had to be manually selected as well, I wonder why is this?

Additionally, the options in windows have the ability to manually specify the resolution and had the NTSC and PAL framerates, can these be added to the Linux V4L2 device dialog?
