We are using OBS to stream live sporting events and would like to mix in natural arena sound.
Setup is a Macbook Pro M1 updated to latest OS, running latest version of OBS Studio 30. Audio is routed thru Rodecaster Pro 2 with beta firmware that will allow for multichannel, but I have it set to the stereo output per rode's website directions, so that shouldn't be the issue.
Problem I am having is when I try to mix in arena sound OBS does not encode it correctly, it outputs distorted to stream and recording. This happens no matter what channel I am plugged into on the Rodecaster with the nats mic.
I know it is not channel specific because I have moved the announcer mic to every channel and that captures correctly no matter where is it routed thru.
I am curious if anyone has run into this issue?
I am thinking it could be Apple Hardware VT encoder having issues, so I am going to try to use x264 tomorrow during our next livestream.
Any thoughts on what else could be the issue?
Thanks in advance.
