Bug Report OBS not capturing cursor (OBS 0.6.4)

On Yosemite OBS is not capturing the cursor, only the effect of using the mouse on screen. I'm using OBS 0.6.4, one scene capture which includes Display capture with Show cursor enabled (No crop) and an Audio output capture.

I tried toggling the pointer on and off, restarting, but the cursor doesn't get drawn on the OBS capture.

People have reported this with 10.10, though it seems only some. Thank you for including the log files.

Same problem. 0.6.4. OSX 10.10.1 (Updated from 10.10 to see if it would fix it).

Would be nice if this was a priority.

I noticed that if you go into Settings/Accessibility/Display you can play with the cursor size and once it gets very large it will work. Most of the time. If your mouse hovers over text where the cursor changes from a pointer to the i-beam selector, the cursor disappears in OBS. Same for when the cursor changes on window dragging, etc.

But in a pinch, for most windows, perhaps the above will work for people.

Okay, I suppose I'll have to update my mac to see if I can get it working. Slightly annoying because Apple likes to make it very difficult to develop for earlier versions if you do so though.

Actually if any of you guys could come by chat some time I could probably do some test builds with you if you have the patience to do so (at least if I'm around, which is most of the time).

Jim,

Something that may help. I also have a capture program called Wirecast. I noticed that if I have WC running in the background (not capturing or doing anything) the cursor works perfectly in OBS. If I close WC I lose the cursor. Launch WC again and the cursor comes back. I tried replicating this with basically any other app I run and could not. So WC s doing something or enabling something just by running in the background. Really odd. This is also at default OSX cursor scaling without the hacky trick I pointed out above.

Well if you guys can come by chat some time and give me a ping by saying my name I'd be willing to run some tests to get it fixed. Would really help me out a lot.

Actually I got someone for testing, and it seems to be something that I can't yet find a fix for, and quite frankly I can't understand why it's happening.. Although I suppose I do have a theory. I think I have no choice but to upgrade to 10.10 at this point though.

Thank you. Any idea when it might be corrected? Something I really need and don't have the funds for some of the other offerings.

The window capture part? Around the time that apple exposes the necessary interface to allow it to work.
