obs.ninja - Add your Microphone to OBS - audio from computer not working

Hello,

I use the obs.ninja - "Add your Microphone to OBS" - and I have a virtual microphone VB-Audio from Voicemeter and VB-Audio Virtual Cable. I want to basically capture the audio from my computer as mic input on OBS. I know all the settings needed, but for Chrome and Edge it doesn't work right, very low and unclear. IT works for Edge. But it doesn't seem to be a browser issue since on zoom i can capture the PC audio into zoom or any conference app, into the conference using the virtual mic with no problem.

i use to be able to do this fine. Any idea's? thanks

Settings -> Audio -> choose a device for the Desktop source?

Keep in mind that that captures *everything* that that device does. System sounds, OBS's Monitor if you send it there, etc. It's literally the same as if you split the physical wire and fed it back in. So be careful to not create a feedback loop that way.

Since you already have Voicemeeter, you could also capture a virtual mic in OBS, that is fed from one of VM's virtual outputs. And set your apps to use a virtual speaker, that feeds one of VM's virtual inputs. Then a single button in VM connects those together.

No need for Ninja either way.
