Question / Help OBS NDI Issue When Using Modem and Router

I have an issue where I can't plug my gaming PCs Ethernet cable into my router or I will get packet loss so I have it plugged into my modem. My modem only has 1 Ethernet slot so if I use my stream PCs NDI it wont recognize it because it's not on the same network as my gaming PC. Are there any ways to be able to make my stream PCs NDI capture my gaming PC when it's plugged into the modem and not the router?

Get a replacement router and use the router. Any router that produces packet loss on heavy use is junk.

On the other hand, you might have bad cabling and the router isn't the issue. In this case the cabling is junk and not the router. Verify that each cable connection from the router to your PCs is 1 GBit and not only 100 MBit. And make a speed test between your two PCs that both really communicate with over 100 MBit consistently. To do this, copy a multi-GB file from one to the other and verify the actual network throughput with the Windows Task Manager. Make sure this connection is not limited to 100 MBit.
