OBS Multiview

As OBS is becoming more popular even in live video production, what would be nice is to be able to view up to 40(selectable)video sources in multiview, and also be able to see audio meters of each individual source and the master output.

That sounds great! I'd love to see that. For now, for a workaround, perhaps have you considered something like:
Set up a lot of OBS instances running at once, with only the stuff you need visible (possibly no Preview pane)
Use the NDI main output from each one as a source in another OBS which becomes your master
I imagine this could be quite draining on resources but it could be pretty close to what you are looking for, on a large enough display or multiple displays.

I think I caught on to the concept, maybe not fully though, pardon my slowness lol. But by the sound of it, I'll need some type of controller, because I'll also need to switch sources on the fly. May complicate it a bit too much for me though as I'm trying to simplify everything as much as possible
