Hi,

The clips I recorded with OBS are not working on Sony Vegas. The file format is MP4. Other MP4 files such as YouTube MP4 downloads (directly from Video Manager) work but the ones from OBS doesn't work. Also, when I playback my footage and try to skip to the middle with Media Player Classic and VLC, it freezes.

What seems to be causing the problem? Converting the clips does fix the issue but it will take me literally 24 or more hours because I don't have a high end computer.

Are you sure the files are being finalized properly?

Sounds like you might have some settings set incorrectly in OBS. Please provide a log that shows a recording session.

I have Sony Vegas and it can read the files fine. There was a problem a while back where it couldn't read them but you had to make sure you upgraded to the very latest version. What version and build number are you running?

Make sure you're using Constant Frame Rate in OBS, use AAC audio, don't have any weird custom x264 settings, and it should work. If none of those are it, post a sample .MP4 that you've tested to not work to a file sharing site so we can try it ourselves. Also post the media info information from an MP4 that doesn't work along with the OBS log file from when you recorded it.
