I am running a Win10 PC with a built in realtek sound card and an NVIDIA GTX 1660 video card.
For months I have been driving our studio monitors (video and sound) via a port on the 1660. That port (called MX279) is my monitor audio out. Yesterday, between shows OBS froze and crashed. From that point on it stopped playing audio to the NVIDIA card. This only affects OBS. OBS looks like it is sending monitor out there but we get no sound. I can output audio from VLC, Firefox, etc to that destination and it plays fine. If I change the monitor for OBS to the realtek card (and restart OBS) it plays fine. I tried multiple reboots, repairing sound, etc. The next steps I see (but haven't tried yet are to:)
temporarily remove %APPDATA%/obs-studio and see if that fixes it.
uninstall/reinstall OBS
uninstall/reinstall NVIDIA drivers (but I am skeptical that this will help since all other software plays fine through it)
The attached log file is from one of the many sessions where I tried to get it to talk to the NVIDIA output again.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this would be appreciated.
